1 Vision Solar recently completed a landmark 715kW rooftop solar PV installation at the Neath Port Talbot Waste Transfer Centre, demonstrating the council’s commitment to sustainability and 1 Vision Solar’s capability in delivering complex large-scale renewable projects.

The system was designed using five 100kW Solis inverters, efficiently distributing the generation load while maintaining high conversion performance and system redundancy. The installation spans the main building roof, maximising available space without compromising on aesthetics or structural integrity.

As part of the project scope, 1 Vision Solar liaised directly with National Grid to secure permission for export of surplus power back to the grid. This required detailed export limitation studies, grid capacity reviews, and compliance with G99 regulations to ensure a smooth connection process and long-term operational reliability.

The council has expressed pride in leading the way with such a significant carbon-saving initiative. The project strongly reflects Neath Port Talbot Council’s environmental values and long-term net-zero objectives.

For 1 Vision Solar, this project represents more than just an installation—it’s the foundation of a collaborative relationship with a forward-thinking local authority. We hope this is the start of a strong and lasting partnership, working together to support the region’s renewable energy ambitions.
