One Vision proudly supplied and installed a cutting-edge renewable energy solution at Nantgarw Cemetery in Wales. This project included a 5.94 kW photovoltaic (PV) solar panel system and a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery storage system.

The Tesla Powerwall 2, with a capacity of 13.5 kWh, was selected for its exceptional performance and reliability. This system provides additional power when energy demand exceeds the supply generated by the PV panels. Typically, the Powerwall utilises around 10 kWh over a 24-hour period. In the evenings, when the PV panels are no longer generating electricity, the Powerwall seamlessly supplies the energy required to meet the building's electrical demands.

One of the standout features of the Tesla Powerwall 2 is its integration with a user-friendly smartphone app. This app allows users to conveniently monitor and manage power usage in real time. Key features include:

  • Real-time energy tracking: Monitor electricity consumption and generation at any time.
  • Control over charging and discharging: Manage when the battery stores or releases energy.
  • Grid electricity usage monitoring: Gain insights into how little grid power is being consumed, highlighting the system’s efficiency.

Additionally, the Powerwall offers the flexibility to charge using off-peak electricity tariffs, making it particularly valuable during winter months when solar energy production is reduced.

This installation showcases 1 Vision Solar’s commitment to delivering advanced renewable energy solutions that enhance energy independence, optimise power usage, and support sustainable practices for residential and commercial properties.
