1 Vision worked with CMBE to install a 14KWH solar PV array to the 91sqm roof at Glan Llyn Primary School, Our dedicated MCS credited solar installers to complete this job, commision and handover the completed array in a week.

Upon sitevisit we discovered that the site was out in the open, meaning there were no trees around, and this meant that we had to do some calculations to figure out the maximum wind speed/direction/strength that the system we designed could withstand.

For the mounting system on Glan Llyn Primary we used Renesol standing seam clamps. These clamps are aligned when the cross beam of the roof is tightened. The clamp is then pressed onto the seam as far as possible, the tightening torque then has to be placed in such a manner that the standing seams are not affected and thermal expansions of the sheet metal are not impeded. Below is a referece image to show a standing seam mounting system.

Refencing the image above, the clamp mount clips underneath the ridge in the roof and is then secured in with a bolt through the frame and then a rail mount is cliped on meaning the rail can then be mounted on.
